Indian Americans continue to dominate household income rankings in the U.S., with 2019 statistics revealing an average annual income of $126,705 — significantly higher than the $69,823 average for White Americans.
Indian Americans also outperform other top-earning groups such as Taiwanese, Filipinos, and Indonesians, who rank just below them but represent smaller populations.
China, another major immigrant contributor, trails behind India with an average household income of $86,281. Analysts predict that Indian Americans’ income has risen further in 2024, though official figures are yet to be released.
This remarkable success is attributed to the large influx of young professionals from India, the nation with the highest youth population globally.
Many of these individuals secure high-paying roles in technology, healthcare, and finance upon settling in the U.S., cementing their status as a leading economic force among immigrant communities.
Indian Americans' achievements highlight their pivotal role in shaping the U.S. economy and professional landscape.
