Why So Much Hype To KTR's Elevation?

The appointment of working president for any political party is purely its internal matter and is part of its organizational functioning.

The Congress party, for instance, has appointed four working presidents in the recent past for Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee: A Revanth Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Mohammad Azharuddin and Jetty Kusuma Kumar.

Their appointment came without any publicity and nobody even knew when they took charge as PCC working presidents.

But the appointment of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhara Rao’s son and Siricilla MLA K T Rama Rao as the working president of the TRS is being viewed as the biggest political event in the state. Readmore!

In their eagerness to display their sycophancy towards KCR, the TRS leaders and cadre have gone out of way to celebrate the anointment of KTR as TRS working president.

Entire Hyderabad has been painted pink with the pictures of KTR’s hoardings and banners on Monday to mark the occasion of KTR taking charge as the working president at 12 noon at Telangana Bhavan.

The media channels competed with one another to telecast live right from Pragathi Bhavan, where KTR took blessings from mother and harathi from his sister Kavitha, to his taking charge in Telangana Bhavan.

And Hyderabad police imposed traffic restrictions right from Begumpet to Telangana Bhavan, as if a President of India or Prime Minister is passing through the route.

Traffic came to a standstill, as KTR convoy left from Pragati Bhavan to Banjara Hills.

And from Road No. 10 to Telangana Bhavan, thousands of TRS workers took out a rally and KTR, standing in an open top vehicle, greeted people, as if he has already become the chief minister.

At Telangana Bhavan, there were cultural troupes and tribals mobilized from different parts of the state, who played trumpets, beat drums and danced on the streets to welcome KTR.

If he can receive such a rousing reception just for becoming the TRS working president, one can imagine the situation when he actually takes over as the chief minister!
