Megastar Chiranjeevi on Monday left from Hyderabad to Vijayawada in a special flight along with his wife Surekha to meet YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Chiranjeevi, who reportedly arrived in Vijayawada much ahead of his appointment with the chief minister, went to the residence of his brother Pawan Kalyan and waited for the scheduled time to meet Jagan.
By going to Pawan’s residence, though he was not there at the house, Chiranjeevi apparently wants to send the message that there are no differences within the mega family.
Later, he will meet Jagan and personally invite the latter to watch his latest blockbuster movie Sye Raa.
By the way, who arranged the special flight for the megastar and his family to fly down to Vijayawada?
According to highly placed sources, it was arranged by the promoters of Greenko, a solar power major having its plant in Kurnool district.
Interestingly, Greenko is one of the three major renewable power producing plants presently under the blacklist of the Jagan government.
The state government is fighting a legal battle with this company on review of power purchase agreements signed during the Chandrababu Naidu regime and has also written to the Centre against long-term PPA signed with it at a high tariff.
Greenko is promoted by Chalamalasetty Anil Kumar, who is also the managing director of the company.
Anil is said to be a close relative of former YSRC leader Chalamalasetty Sunil, who later defected to the Telugu Desam Party. One of the Jagan’s cabinet ministers is also said to be a partner in Greenko.
Jagan is allegedly targeting this company because Sunil had not only ditched the YSRC and joined the TDP, but also influenced other YSRC leaders in Kurnool district to defect to the TDP.
Though Anil does not have any political leanings, Jagan apparently of the view that he had received undue favours from Naidu government.
Now, Greenko is said to be doing hectic lobbying with the Jagan government to see that his power project gets the nod for continuing the PPA.
May be, he is trying to influence Jagan through Chiranjeevi by arranging a special flight for the mega family!
