Anasuya Bharadwaj, a television anchor turned actor who appeared in Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise, has made shocking revelations regarding Vijay Deverakonda's publicist.
She has accused him of paying trolls to abuse her on social media, sparking a war of words between Vijay's fans and Anasuya over the past few months.
Anasuya, who claims to have been friends with Vijay in the past, disclosed in an interview that she learned from someone in Vijay's team about the publicist's alleged payment to trolls for abusing her. She expressed her shock upon discovering this information.
She recounted an incident when Vijay visited a theater during the release of his film Arjun Reddy (2017). In the movie, certain cuss words were muted, but Vijay encouraged his fans to mouth the dialogues, resulting in them shouting the cuss words.
Anasuya, being a mother, was upset by the use of abusive language. She revealed that she had spoken to Vijay about it, urging him not to encourage such behavior in real life.
Anasuya also highlighted the increase in online abuse towards women following the release of Arjun Reddy.
She admitted to experiencing depression due to the online abuse but managed to move forward.
However, in 2019, after being offered a role in Vijay's father's production, Meeku Maathrame Cheptha, she learned from someone on Vijay's team that his publicist had allegedly paid trolls to target her. This revelation shocked her, as she believed that Vijay would have been aware if his publicist had engaged in such activities.
Last month, Anasuya took a cryptic dig at Vijay in response to the poster of his film Kushi, where his name appeared as "The Vijay Deverakonda" (as he uses it on social media).
Anasuya expressed her displeasure with the poster and shared her thoughts in Telugu, which went viral and drew the ire of Vijay's fans.
Anasuya is set to appear in the upcoming Telugu-Tamil bilingual film, Vimanam, where she portrays a sex worker. She is also part of the forthcoming installment of the Pushpa franchise.
