Runtime Is Not An Issue For TNR: Vamsee

Director Vamsee got to make his third movie with a star like Ravi Teja and he was provided a massive budget which was highest for the actor.

Vamsee reveals the beauty of Tiger Nageswara Rao. “I learned many surprising facts about Tiger Nageswara Rao in my 2 years of research. There are two shades in his character. While he is a cruel man one side, he is a good human being.”

Nupur Sanon played one of the heroines in the movie. “A place was needed to sell the stolen gold. Many Marwaris came in that belt. Tiger Nageswara Rao develops a relationship with a Marwari girl. That is Nupur's character. This is not fiction. It really happened in Tiger’s life. Nupur has done the role very well.”

The final duration of Tiger Nageswara Rao is 2.52 hours. Defending his decision, the director affirms, “The runtime is not an issue for Tiger Nageswara Rao. After watching the movie, there is a feeling that ten more minutes would have been better. I believe that even when the end titles roll, the audience will not leave the chair.” Readmore!

Vamsee says shooting the train episode was one of the toughest tasks.

“Recreating the Godavari Bridge was not an ordinary thing. For this, DOP, Fight Masters and Art Department, everyone supported my vision wonderfully. It took 20 days to shoot that sequence. It took a year to complete the CG part. There are many wonderful sequences like the port sequence in Chennai and the prison escape sequence.”

The director states he will make his next movies on a large scale.
