Raju to get notice for disqualification soon?

The YSR Congress party appears to be doing extensive lobbying at the highest level in New Delhi to get its rebel MP from Narasapuram Kanumuru Raghurama Krishnam Raju disqualified from his Lok Sabha membership at the earliest.

According to reports from New Delhi, the party leadership is bringing pressure on Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla from the top bosses in the government to see that Raghurama Raju is disqualified as early as possible.

YSRC parliamentary party whip and Rajahmundry MP Margani Bharat told reporters that Raghurama Krishnam Raju would get the notices from the Lok Sabha Speaker’s office within one week.

“We have submitted a detailed representation to the Speaker with strong evidence to prove the anti-party activities of the rebel MP. The Speaker is examining the same and will issue notices to Raju within a week,” Bharat said.

He further said the YSRC also brought to the Speaker’s notice about the disqualification of Janata Dal (U) leader Sharad Yadav from Rajya Sabha by its chairman M Venkaiah Naidu in the past.

“We explained to him in detail how Raju has been indulging in attacks on the Jagan government and the party for the last few months. We are confident that the Speaker would use his discretionary powers and disqualify Raghurama Krishnam Raju soon,” Bharat said.

While Raju is also confident that the Speaker won’t take any such action, the YSRC is confident that he cannot escape the axe this time, as the party had used all its influence with the Centre.
