One more Telanganite to get plum post in AP?

Even as the appointment of senior journalist from Telangana Devulapalli Amar as advisor to the Andhra Pradesh government for national media affairs and inter-state relations triggered uproar in the Andhra media circles, here is yet another heart-burning news for them.

According to sources, YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has reportedly approved the appointment of another senior journalist K Ramachandra Murthy as Advisor to Andhra Pradesh government on public policies, besides chairman of Andhra Pradesh Press Academy.

Murthy was till recently functioning as Editorial Director of Sakshi media house.

He hails from Khammam district of Telangana and was a strong votary of separate Telangna movement. Readmore!

He ran a series of programmes in the name of “Dasha-Disha” to highlight the demand for separate Telangana state.

Already, there is a lot of unrest in the media circles in AP over appointment of Commissioner of Information and Public Relations T Vijay Kumar Reddy from Nalgonda and G V D Krishna Mohan as Communications Advisor to AP government.

The recent appointment of Amar as inter-state affairs advisor has added fuel to the fire.

It remains to be seen how they would react with the appointment of K R Murthy as another advisor in the AP government.
