'Gold Fish' Comes Back to Haunt Adivi Sesh

When actors make overly confident statements, they often end up in trouble. In recent times, several stars have faced social media trolling for remarks made in haste; and now Adivi Sesh has joined that list.

A few weeks ago, while interacting with the media at the teaser launch of Dacoit, Adivi Sesh confidently announced that the film would release on March 19, 2026, come what may.

When journalists pointed out the possible clash with big-ticket films like Toxic and Dhurandhar 2, the actor had a ready response.

“There may be many big fish in the sea, but we are the goldfish,” he said, projecting strong confidence. Readmore!

Sesh further stated that competition did not worry him, citing the release of Major, which held its ground despite clashing with Yash Raj Films’ Prithviraj and Kamal Haasan’s Vikram.

However, with Dacoit now postponed from its March 2026 release; reportedly due to the looming competition from Dhurandhar 2; the actor’s earlier “gold fish” remark has resurfaced.

As expected, social media, especially Twitter, is flooded with trolling comments aimed at Adivi Sesh.
