Iran Claims Strike On Oracle Data Centre In Dubai

Iran on Thursday claimed it had launched a fresh wave of attacks targeting locations in the UAE, Bahrain, and Israel, following recent US-Israeli strikes on two of its major steel plants.

According to a statement issued by Iran’s military command, Khatam al-Anbiya, and carried by state television, the strikes were carried out in retaliation for attacks on Iranian industrial infrastructure.

“In response to attacks on Iranian steel industries, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched a new wave of operations this morning,” the statement said.

The targets, as listed by Iranian authorities, included what they described as “American-linked steel facilities in Abu Dhabi, aluminium industries in Bahrain, and Rafael arms factories in Israel.” Readmore!

In a significant claim, Iran also said that data centres linked to US tech firms were targeted, including an Oracle data centre in Dubai and an Amazon facility in Bahrain.

The report, cited by Tasnim news agency, quoted Iran’s Revolutionary Guards’ naval command as stating that these digital infrastructure sites were part of the operation.

There has been no independent confirmation so far from the UAE, Bahrain, Israel, or the companies mentioned regarding any damage or impact from these claimed strikes.

The situation remains fluid, with tensions continuing to escalate in the region following the latest round of military actions.
