Superstar Krishna’s brother and producer Ghattamaneni Adiseshagiri Rao, who quit the YSR Congress party before the 2019 elections and joined the Telugu Desam Party, has been loyal to TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for the last five years.
He has been criticising YSRCP president and former chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on various issues and the way he was running the party.
In a latest interview to a YouTube channel, Adiseshagiri Rao said he was opposing the dictatorial attitude of Jagan which he said was not suitable to run the party.
He said in the last five years, Jagan had not bothered to take care of the party cadre which resulted in the party’s loss in the recent elections.
However, Adiseshagiri Rao defended Jagan in one aspect.
He said there was no truth in the negative campaign being run in a section of social media that Jagan had usurped the present residence and camp office at Tadepalli from Adisehagiri Rao’s son and got it registered in his name.
He said Jagan had indeed purchased his residential villa and camp office at Tadepalli from his son.
“My son was developing the villas’ project at Tadepalli and even when they were in the construction stage, Jagan bought two villas at the prevailing market rate,” he said.
Adiseshagiri Rao said he had suggested to Jagan to convert one of the villas into the camp office.
“There were absolutely no irregularities in the construction. During the allocation of plots or construction of house, too, Jagan did not visit the area. He saw the house and camp office only at the time of house warming ceremony,” he said.
The TDP leader went on to explain that his son was given the contract to develop the site and undertake the construction in Jagan's name.
“So, there is no truth in the allegation that he had usurped the plot from him forcibly,” he explained.
