Rajamouli Said It's A Hit Movie: Ritesh Rana

Director Ritesh Rana’s second movie Happy Birthday starring Lavanya Tripathi is all set for release on 8th of this month.

The director in his exclusive interview with us reveals there’s twist in every 10 to 15 minutes of the movie which is an out and out crazy entertainer.

“It’s a non-linear narrative. My initial story didn’t have guns and the fantasy world. They were actually added later.”

This is his second back-to-back movie under Clap Entertainment and Mythri Movies together.

“They wanted me to shoot a small scene as demo, instead I shot a 14 mins of short film in 3 days. They liked my work and came forward to produce Mathu Vadalara.”

Director Rajamouli appreciated the director during the trailer launch. “Rajamouli said Happy Birthday is going to be a hit movie and I’m truly contented with his complement.”

He informs it cost more than the remunerations of actors to set up the gun bazaar for the movie. “Producers didn’t restrict me, but I tried to control the budget.”

Ritesh Rana says Lavanya Tripathi is very sarcastic in nature which he observed in a TV show. “I penned the story based on her timing. In fact, I write characters keeping particular actors in mind.”

The director also affirms one need to revisit Mathu Vadalara, before watching Happy Birthday.

“There’s Mathu Vadalara connection for Happy Birthday. The story actually takes place in the world of Ori Naa Kodaka serial that you saw in Mathu Vadalara.”

Ritesh Rana also informed that he has plans of making sequel to Happy Birthday.
