Why so many people for YSRC social media?

When YSR Congress party led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was in opposition, it made extensive use of social media to campaign its philosophy and also take on the then ruling party led by N Chandrababu Naidu.

It had a small team within the party to run the social media. Of course, after political strategist Prashant Kishor took up the party propaganda, he had brought in his own team to operate social media, that fetched victory for the party ultimately in 2019.

Now that the YSRC came to power, there is not much need for the party to have such huge social media network, as there is vast digital media wing for the government itself, which can be used for propagating Jagan philosophy and party propaganda.

Yet, Jagan chose to have his own strong party social media wing. On Tuesday, he appointed four in-charges for party's social media wing, including: Gurrampati Venkata Devendra Reddy,  Putta Siva Kumar, Challa Madhusudan Reddy and P Madhusudhan Reddy.

Interestingly,  all the four are from Rayalaseema and two of them - Siva Kumar and Challa are from Kamalapuram. Even digital media corporation MD Chinna Vasudeva Reddy is also from Rayalaseema (from Madanapalle).

Needless to say, the party social media wing has over 50 workers, whose duty is to upload party issues and government schemes related issues on social media. At the same, China Vasudeva Reddy with his 150-odd members does the same thing.

Besides, Indian Political Action Committee (IPAC) also has its own social media wing for the party and the government.

Individually, every minister, MLA and leader have their own social media accounts through which they spread the party philosophy.

So, why this multiple propaganda? Only Jagan has an answer.
