Soggade Chinni Nayana is the biggest hit in Nagarjuna’s career so far. It was released against biggies like Nannaku Prematho and Dictator and emerged winner for that Sankranthi.
It was regarded as a perfect festival film with rural setup, entertaining characters and family drama.
Nagarjuna wanted to make a sequel to it as he believes that Bangarraju character has the potential to run a franchise.
Director Kalyan Krishna has finally finished the scripting part and Nagarjuna is waiting for Naga Chaitanya to finish Love Story and join the sets.
It is going to be a multi-starrer from the father-son duo and Ramya Krishna would be reprising the same character that she played in the original.
Nagarjuna is reportedly planning to release the film for coming Sankranthi as it is the best season for a rural entertainer like Bangarraju. He is not worried about the competition from Rajamouli’s #RRR that is slated for release on Jan 8.
Looks like F3 and Bangarraju are the films that are aiming at Sankranthi 2021 release in spite of #RRR.
Interestingly, both are sequels to two hugely successful films that were released during Sankranthi season.
