KCR gives rude shock to health official

It is a known fact Bharat Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao doesn’t like leaders who try to project themselves as big and put up an independent image.

Any leader who wants to have a long political innings in his party should be at his mercy and subservient to him and the party. Anybody who tries to pose himself as a big leader will be shown the door.

The same thing has happened in the case of Director of public health Gadala Srinivasa Rao.

For the last one year, Gadala has been claiming himself to be the BRS candidate for Kothagudem assembly constituency, saying he had the blessings of KCR. Readmore!

He has launched a public interaction programme ‘Gadapa Gadapaku Gadala,’ going from door to door, appealing the people to support him in the next elections.

He established a charitable trust by name “GSR Trust” stating that he has been doing public service.

Gadala even ran a campaign against sitting MLA Vanama Venkateshwar Rao and his son Vanama Raghava in Kothagudem, describing them as devils.

He picked up quarrels with the local police officials for removing his flex boards and even threatened them of dire consequences.

He has been nurturing a group by name GSR Yuva Sena with several members, youths and women.

He even organised felicitations for himself in Kothagudem. All these have gone to the notice of KCR, who naturally doesn’t like such kind of shows.

So, when KCR announced the party tickets on Monday, he quietly renominated Vanama, ignoring repeated lobbying by Gadala. As a result, the health director has gone into a silent mode.

Whether he has any other plans to contest the elections or would confine to his job remains to be seen.
