Ex-TDP Minister Denied Bail In Murder Case

In a rude shock to former minister and senior TDP leader Kollu Ravindra, the Krishna district magistrate court on Thursday denied him bail in connection with the murder of YSRCP leader Moka Bhaskar Rao in Machilipatnam on June 29.

The court agreed with the contention of the public prosecutor that Ravindra might influence the witnesses if he was granted bail in the case. Along with Ravindra, who is accused no. 4 in the case, the court denied bail to seven others.

The police, who arrested Ravindra on July 3 while he was on his way to Visakhapatnam, produced him before the second additional judicial magistrate who sent him to the 14-day judicial custody.

The police argued before the court that there were evidences to prove that the TDP leader had a hand in the murder of Moka Bhaskar Rao, a close associate of transport minister Perni Nani. Readmore!

“The arrested had admitted that they had committed murder at the behest of Ravindra. There were evidences to prove that the killers had spoken to Ravindra’s personal assistant and his other followers. They also revealed that Ravindra had asked him not to disclose his names under any circumstances,” the police said.
