YSRC leader Devineni Avinash was halted by airport authorities on Friday while attempting to travel to Dubai.
The authorities notified the Mangalagiri police in Andhra Pradesh, who requested that Avinash not be allowed to board the flight due to his involvement in ongoing cases. Consequently, Avinash was prevented from flying and returned from the airport.
Avinash is facing a case related to the attack on the TDP office.
On October 19, 2021, a large group, reportedly YSRC supporters, forcibly entered the TDP headquarters following objectionable comments made by TDP spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhi Ram against then Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during a press conference.
The mob vandalized office furniture and assaulted party staff and TDP leaders who attempted to intervene.
The unrest began after Pattabhi Ram criticized the Visakhapatnam police for issuing notices to TDP senior leader Nakka Anand Babu and alleged that Jagan was involved in widespread ganja smuggling in the state.
