The reports of dreaded Coronavirus spreading its tentacles to different parts of the country have cast its shadow on the proposed public meeting of Union home minister Amit Shah in Hyderabad on March 15.
The Bharatiya Janata Party had announced a massive rally at Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad on March 15 in support of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), as part of the party’s nation-wide campaign. Shah recently addressed a rally in Kolkata.
However, the proposed public meeting in Hyderabad has been postponed due to Coronavirus scare across the country.
“The scheduled public rally of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Hyderabad on March 15 has been postponed to a future date,” BJP official spokesman K Krishna Sagar Rao said in a statement.
He said the decision was taken to reduce mass physical contact of people during the public rally,in the current context of serious precautions being undertaken by the Central Government to arrest the spread of Corona virus.
Future schedule of the postponed visit & public rally will be informed by the party in due course, he added.
