TDP leader Nara Lokesh is gearing up for his much-talked about padayatra from January 27, this year.
He would be starting his padayatra at Kuppam in Chittoor district and close it at Itchapuram in Srikakulam district.
He would be walking for 4,000 kilometres for 400 days, which is 352 kilometres more and 59 days more than Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s padayatra, which is the record as of now.
Lokesh would be breaking Jagan’s padayatra record by walking the additional mile for the additional days.
The NRI teams of the TDP are working on the padayatra schedule and route map, besides the logistics.
Some more teams are working on the speeches that Lokesh should make during the walk, besides giving feed to the media.
However, with the state government issuing GO RT 1, imposing restrictions on the road shows and public meetings on the roads, there is a big question on Lokeshs’s padayatra.
The GO had put restrictions on TDP president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s Kuppam tour.
Naidu, who had planned road shows and streetcorner meetings, could not move due to the restrictions recommended by the new GO.
Hence the question on the fate of Lokesh’s padayatra is raised by the political circles.
It is to be seen if Lokesh would embark on his marathon walk or would alter his plans in the light of the new GO.
