After a surprising opening weekend where “Raakaasa,” produced by Niharika Konidela and starring Sangeeth Shobhan, held an edge over Sharwanand’s “Biker,” the box office trends have now shifted.
Despite “Biker” receiving more positive reviews and Sharwanand being the more established star, “Raakaasa” initially outperformed expectations. However, the momentum proved short-lived.
Collections for “Raakaasa” saw a sharp drop from Monday onwards and have continued to decline through the weekdays.
Even with a decent worldwide gross of around â¹11 crore in its opening phase, the film’s weekday performance has been underwhelming.
In contrast, “Biker” has shown steady growth since Monday, registering strong numbers on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Positive word-of-mouth has helped the film maintain momentum at the box office.
The team is now expecting a significant jump over the weekend, although it will face competition from “Dacoit.”
While the upward trend is encouraging, “Biker” still needs to generate substantial revenue to reach the break-even mark, given its high production cost.
