The efforts of finding the right director and the casting for the Telugu remake of Malayalam blockbuster “Ayyapanum Koshiyum” coming to end.
Tired of thinking of various combinations and several directors for this remake, the production house apparently finalized Rana Daggubati and Ravi Teja as the lead heroes.
The original choices were Rana – Balakrishna, and Rana – Venkatesh. But things didn’t work out. Balakrishna rejected the idea.
As far as the direction is concerned, Sitara Entertainments, the production house that bagged the remake rights, had considered the names such as Harish Shankar and Sudheer Varma.
But Harish Shankar didn’t show interest at all. Sudheer Varma already had given a huge flop to the banner.
The latest name to this project has been attached is Sagar Chandra. The young director took an advance from Sithara Entertainments after delivering a critically well-received “Appatlo Okadundevaadu” but he has been struggling to make his next film for the last two years. Sithara wants to bring him on board.
But we have to see whether Rana would agree to this choice. Moreover, Ravi Teja has to sign the film officially.
