Dhurandhar is now a very big hit of the year, with Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun playing the lead roles.
Based on classified Indian defense spy operations, the film connected strongly with audiences due to its intense narrative and patriotic appeal.
While the initial response was only average, strong word of mouth helped the film gradually gain momentum across regions.
The long runtime of nearly three hours and thirty minutes did not affect its box office performance. Instead, the gripping drama and solid performances ensured sustained footfalls.
The film has so far collected around Rs 370 crore gross worldwide, with the second weekend proving to be particularly strong and reinforcing its blockbuster status.
The key question now is whether Dhurandhar can overtake Chhaava and Kantara Chapter 1 in the long run.
If the current momentum continues without a major drop, it may achieve this feat by the end of December.
At present, the highest-grossing Indian films of 2025 remain Kantara Chapter 1 with nearly Rs 850 crore and Chhaava with around Rs 800 crore worldwide.
Before beating those two films, Dhurandhar has to cross the collections of Saiyaara and Coolie. Right now it's enjoying its fifth position, still running wild in theatres.
