The news that Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is going to field his son Nara Lokesh from Bheemili assembly constituency has evoked strong reaction from the YSR Congress party.
The YSRC is going to field Anakapalli MP Avanti Srinivas, who recently defected from TDP to the YSRC after he was denied ticket from Bhimili assembly constituency.
Now, Avanti feels Naidu is deliberately fielding Lokesh from the constituency only to take revenge on him.
Yet, he is putting up a brave front.
“Why Lokesh? Naidu himself can contest from Bheemili. I am prepared to fight against him or his son and I am confident of defeating them in the coming assembly elections,” Avanti said, throwing a challenge to the TDP supremo.
He alleged that Naidu had chosen Bheemili for Lokesh, thinking that it would be a safe seat for him to win the elections easily.
“But Naidu is going to repent for the decision. It is not going to win the seat so easily. The people have made up their mind to defeat the TDP as they want a complete change in the government. The YSRC will win the elections this time,” he said.
He said the people have given Naidu a chance to rule the state for three terms.
“Every time he gets confused and makes people confused. Under the TDP rule, only one section of people are benefitted and the general public got vexed up with Naidu,” he said.
