Andhra Pradesh CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has accused his predecessor and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu of harping only on Amaravati, ignoring all other issues concerning the people.
Jagan was reacting to a question from a national media reporter as to why he was not asking for any cooperation from Naidu on taking crucial decisions, while his father late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy used to give due respect to his political rivals.
“What cooperation are you referring to? After March, he has not set foot in Andhra while the state is battling the pandemic,” Jagan fumed.
He said the TDP president and his cronies were stuck up with the single idea that they should protect their investments in Amaravati.
“They have no other agenda. In the last 15 months, Naidu has been only talking about Amaravati and nothing else. Amaravati is not worth discussing at all,” he said.
He said his government had said time and again that it was for decentralised development.
“There is no way we can consider one single place for development just because you and your colleagues purchased land there,” the chief minister said.
