Who fixed muhurtham for Vizag capital?

It is more or less confirmed that YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy would be moving his camp office to Visakhapatnam by March end.

According to the party sources, the muhurtham for shifting of the Chief Minister’s Office to Vizag has been fixed as March 22, coinciding with Ugadi festival. On this day, Jagan will formally perform the puja and enter into his chambers.

The question that is being discussed in the media circles is who had fixed muhurtham for the capital shift to Visakhapatnam.

According to sources, the initial muhurtham fixed by Swamy Swaroopanandendra Saraswati of Visakhapatnam Sarada Peetham was March 12. Readmore!

However, Jagan, for unknown reasons, is not happy with the same and reportedly approached Chinna Jeeyar Swamy at Seethanagaram near Vijayawada, who has reportedly suggested the Ugadi muhurtham.

Sources said for the last few days, all has not been well between Visakha Sarada Peetham seer and Jagan.

The Swaroopanandendra Swamy and his successor Swatmanandendra who used to have royal entry into Tadepalli palace till recently have not been able to get into it these days.

The other day, Swatmanandendra had to wait for four hours to meet Jagan, but had to return empty handed without getting the appointment.

“The reasons for this sudden change in the attitude of the chief minister towards the Swamijis is not immediately known,” sources said.

In fact, Jagan was invited for the Purnahuti programme of the Yagnam conducted as part of the annual Brahmotsavams of Visakha Sarada Peetham that concluded a couple of days ago. But he did not go and cancelled his visit to Visakhapatnam.

“Something has gone wrong between the Swamy and Jagan. It will take some time to find out the reasons,” sources added.
