Venu Swamy is the controversial astrologer who has been receiving flak from the mainstream media and social media for his inappropriate predictions about celebrities.
Though he promised that he wouldn’t reveal any celebrity horoscopes again, he crossed the line by predicting that Naga Chaitanya and Sobhitha would get separated soon.
After all the criticism, surprisingly, Venu Swamy's wife Srivani, who is a Veena player, released a video addressing the journalist community.
She said that journalists, channels and social media platforms have exposed the Lavanya-Raj Tharun issue and made their personal matter public.
In a way, she is supporting her husband who is facing allegations that he is putting the personal lives of the celebrities in the guise of astrological predictions.
However, Srivani should understand that the Lavanya-Raj Tharun case became public because it went to the police and the court. Once it is public, it is common for the media to discuss it.
On the other hand, Venu Swamy is discussing celebrities’ personal lives and horoscopes when that is not reached police or the court.
A section media may expose such news, but with some evidences in hand. But here Venu Swamy is not a media person to do that job.
As an astrologer he should maintain his respect and carry an appropriate social behavior. That's what the society expects.
“Srivani, who once had respect among Telugu people for her talent in playing the Veena, lost much of that with this video. What she said was lengthy with less substance and more defensive,” mentioned a netizen.
"I worried all these years how Srivani, the talented musician is living with Venu Swamy. But I understood she is fit enough to be with him, after listening to what she spoke. Both are made for each other", another netizen wrote.
She claimed herself as a senior media person who interviewed hundreds of celebrities in the past and took the moral right to take moral class to the journalist community.
