Director Maruthi is slowly recovering from the shock of The Raja Saab. The film failed for many reasons, but Maruthi ended up taking most of the blame. Bad timing played a big role. Now, he has quietly moved on and prepared a fresh script.
Sources say Maruthi spent time in Kerala, calmly developing an idea he already had into a full script. The story is now ready, but the big question is; who will be the hero?
At present, Maruthi is said to be looking at Ram Pothineni and Varun Tej. The film is expected to be produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
A Maruthi–Mythri combination has been discussed for a long time but never really worked out. Now, it looks like the timing may finally be right.
Ram currently does not have a film on the floors. He has a couple of scripts under discussion, but nothing is locked yet. If those do not move forward, this project could be a strong option.
Varun Tej, meanwhile, is busy with a film under UV Creations. Once he listens to Maruthi’s script, there will be clarity on whether Ram or Varun will take it up. That decision may take a little time, but things are clearly moving.
