TDP joins Jana Sena campaign on bad roads

Jana Sena Party headed by power star Pawan Kalyan might not get any support from its political ally Bharatiya Janata Party in its fight against the YSR Congress party government in Andhra Pradesh.

But it has definitely found a supporter, of course unsolicited, in Telugu Desam Party, its prospective alliance partner.

Jana Sena has been holding protest dharnas, public rallies and demonstrations on various issues like that of aqua farmers, tenant farmers, industrial pollution and now, bad condition of roads in the state.

Though the BJP has been its alliance partner, it has not joined the Jana Sena till date in any of these agitations. Readmore!

Pawan Kalyan and his party cadre are independently holding their campaign against the Jagan government.

The latest digital campaign proposed to be launched by Pawan on the bad roads from July 15 to 18 also did not get any response from the BJP leaders.

On the other hand, the TDP, too, which has been looking for issues to target the Jagan government has come to the support of Pawan, of course, indirectly.

The TDP, too, has decided to take up an independent campaign against the bad roads, to expose the alleged claims by the Jagan government on the improvement of roads.

Reacting to media reports that the chief minister had ordered restoration of roads by July 15, the TDP launched a digital campaign with hashtags: #WorstRoadsInAP and #ChatthaRoadsChatthaCM.

It asked the netizens to take a selfie with or click a picture of bad roads and send them to a particular number.

“Let us bring pressure on the government to repair the roads. Why delay, do it quickly,” the TDP campaign said.

The party asked the government to repair at least those roads whose pictures appeared in today’s newspaper.

“Will you accept the challenge or throw up your hands?” the party asked.

The Jana Sena, too, will be launching a digital campaign against the bad roads after July 15, to show to the people whether the roads were really repaired or not.

Between July 15 and 18, the party will launch the campaign with hashtag #GoodMorningCM Sir to highlight the pathetic condition of roads.

The party also asked the members of Jana Sena to take photographs of bad roads and post them on digital media platforms.
