The ruling YSR Congress party in Andhra Pradesh on Friday sought to downplay the prospective alliance between the TDP-Jana Sena combine and the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying it would have little impact on the state elections.
YSRCP general secretary and party candidate for Nellore Lok Sabha seat V Vijay Sai Reddy did not lose much time in reacting to the talks between TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu with BJP national leadership in New Delhi on Thursday night.
He tweeted: “Even if BJP joins the TDP-Jana Sena alliance, how will it be any different from all the deceit, lies, and unkept promises that AP witnessed between 2014-19?”
Sai Reddy described the alliance as the same product with a different packaging, a chair with 3 legs is bound to fall.
“Vote for a stable govt., vote @YSRCParty,” he tweeted.
More reactions are expected to follow from the YSRCP once a formal announcement of the alliance is made by Friday evening.
