The Andhra Pradesh government headed by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is making all out efforts to build the brand of Andhra Pradesh by inviting top industrialists to the state to make investments.
As part of the exercise, Naidu held a meeting with Tata Group chairman Natarajan Chandrasekharan at Amaravati on Friday and held detailed discussion on attracting investments in the state. Later, he also held meeting with heads of 11 big business houses in the country.
Both Naidu and Chandrasekharan paid attention to industrial development and building Swarna Andhra Pradesh with Vision-2047. Later, Naidu announced constituting a Special Task Force to provide suggestions to the State Government on how to go ahead with this and also formulate necessary plans to implement these suggestions.
The Task Force will have the chief minister as the Chairman, the TATA Group Chairman, Mr Chandrasekharan as the Co-Chairman along with famous industrialists and experts in the relevant sectors.
“I had a great meeting with my old friend, the chairman of Tata Sons, Mr Natarajan Chandrasekharan in Amaravati today. The GoAP is forming a Task Force for Economic Development of Swarna Andhra Pradesh @2047 with intellectuals and industry leaders as its members,” he tweeted on X.
He said he was delighted to announced that Chandrasekharan will co-chair this task force. “I am also pleased to inform @TataCompanies has agreed to be a partner in the Centre for Global Leadership on Competitiveness (GLC) to be set up by the CII in Amaravati,” he said.
Naidu also announced that both he and Chandrasekharan had explored the opportunity of setting up @TCS development centre in Visakhapatnam, enhancement of AP’s air connectivity with Air India and Vistara, and various other partnerships across multiple sectors.
This apart, Chandrababu Naidu also held discussions with him on establishing solar, telecommunication and food processing units in the state, an official release said.
