Adivi Sesh’s latest film Dacoit is proving to be a box-office force. After an impressive first week, the film is maintaining its good run well into the second week.
Despite facing competition from new releases, the Shaneil Deo directorial posted remarkable numbers on Friday, clocking over 20K ticket bookings on BookMyShow.
In an exclusive interview with us, producer Supriya Yarlagadda revealed that the film has already turned profitable.
“We made the film with smart production planning. In fact, we essentially made two movies- one catering to Telugu cinema and the other to Hindi, and received solid validation through non-theatrical deals. That has helped us significantly. I’m already in profits.”
Dacoit has become the fastest one-million grosser for Adivi Sesh in the USA, reaching the mark in just five days, and the movie is likely to post good numbers this weekend.
The makers have officially announced through the poster that Dacoit has crossed the half-century milestone, grossing 50 crore worldwide within eight days.
With audiences still picking it as their top choice this week, the robust pre-sales for Saturday and Sunday further underline its popularity.
