Reason Behind Swayambhu Postponed To April

Nikhil’s milestone 20th film Swayambhu, directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, was initially slated for a February 13 release.

Although the shooting has been completed, post-production is still in progress. It is now learnt that the film has been postponed for a valid reason.

Swayambhu will arrive in theatres on April 10 as a major summer attraction, although official confirmation is awaited.

Given the film’s extensive VFX demands, the makers have entrusted the CG work to some of India’s leading studios. Readmore!

Notably, the film features five major episodes that rely heavily on visual effects, making precision and finesse absolutely crucial.

In recent times, even several big-budget films have faced criticism due to subpar CG quality.

Determined to avoid such pitfalls and to deliver a truly world-class visual spectacle, the team is taking the time required to achieve flawless results.

With perfection as their top priority, the makers realized that meeting the earlier release timeline would compromise the intended output.

Rather than cutting corners, they have chosen to postpone the release, ensuring the film reaches audiences with uncompromised quality and superior visual standards.

This Pan-India period action drama is produced on a massive scale with high budget by Bhuvan and Sreekar under Pixel Studios, with Tagore Madhu presenting. This indeed is the most expensive film in Nikhil’s career.

Leading technicians are working on the movie. Renowned cinematographer Senthil Kumar, known for his exceptional work in SS Rajamouli’s films, is handling the cinematography for this ambitiously crafted movie.
