Pawan Kalyan to fight lone battle in AP?

It appears Jana Sena Party led by power star Pawan Kalyan has decided to fight a lone battle in Andhra Pradesh by severing its ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party in the coming days.

According to sources close to the Jana Sena leadership, Pawan Kalyan is not happy with the ill-treatment being meted out to him from the BJP leadership in fighting against the Jagan Mohan Reddy government in the state.

After the by-elections to Tirupati parliamentary seat held on April 17, the BJP has not bothered to talk to Pawan Kalyan even once.

Though he suffered from Covid-19 for a few weeks, not a single BJP leader called him to enquire about his health condition. Readmore!

When the BJP state leadership held its state executive meeting, the party did not discuss about the alliance with Jana Sena and the future programmes of action in consultation with it.

“Except a couple of insignificant issues like cow slaughter and Tipu Sultan memorial, the BJP has not taken up any fight against the Jagan government. With this type of non-serious attitude, the BJP cannot hope to emerge as an alternative,” a Jana Sena leader said.

Apparently, Pawan Kalyan is also not happy with the silence of the BJP on the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant issue.

Though Jana Sena, too, had been silent on this initially, Pawan Kalyan now wants to join the struggle in a big way to regain the lost glory in Visakhapatnam.

Sources said though Pawan might not openly terminate the alliance with the BJP, he might adopt an independent action plan for Jana Sena in Andhra and take up its own issues to fight against the Jagan government.
