No proof of any recce on Vangaveeti house?

Within a couple of days of former minister and Kapu leader Vangaveeti Radhakrishna rejecting chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s offer of providing security with four gunmen, the Vijayawada police turned the tables on him.

Vijayawada commissioner of police Kranti Rana Tata declared that there is no proof for Radha’s statement that he was facing a threat to his life.

“There have been no evidences to prove his charges that somebody had conducted a recce on his house to eliminate him,” he said.

He said the police were conducting a comprehensive enquiry over the reports of a threat to the life of Radha. Readmore!

“We are examining the CCTV footage for the last two months. So far, there are no evidences to substantiate his claims. Yet, we shall ensure that he would get complete protection,” Kranti Rana Tata said.

By saying that there were no evidences on the conduct of recce, the police commissioner also gave clean chit, albeit indirectly, YSR Congress party leader Arava Satyam, who is alleged to have conducted the recce at Radha’s house.

He gave a stern warning to the Telugu Desam Party leaders that stringent action would be taken against them if they spread false rumours on the incident.

“If anybody tries to spread the rumours and launch a smear campaign that would cause a law and order problem, we shall take stern action,” the CP said.

On Friday, TDP legislator Nimmala Rama Naidu alleged that Arava Satyam, the floor leader of the YSRCP in the Vijayawada municipal corporation, had conducted the recce on Radha’s residence. He was the same man who masterminded the attack on the TDP head office at Mangalagiri in Guntur district a few days ago, the TDP leader alleged.

“Satyam is now crossing his limits just because the Chief Minister lauded him for his attack on the TDP office. Eventually, Jagan Reddy would have to take all responsibility for any extreme activity resorted to by Arava Satyam,” he said.
