No plans to quit Congress, says Jagga Reddy

There were reports in the media that at the Wednesday’s meeting of the PCC Political Affairs Committee meeting, Jagga Reddy became furious at PCC chief A Revanth Reddy and threatened to resign from the party, if the party did not require his services.

Earlier, too, Jagga Reddy told the reporters that there was a large scale conspiracy going on against him by spreading rumours in the social media that he was a covert of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the Congress.

“Who will stop me if I want to join the TRS?” he asked then. Readmore!

However, on Thursday, Jagga Reddy clarified that he had only expressed his feelings at the PAC meeting and conveyed the factual situation to AICC in-charge of the Telangana affairs Manickam Tagore.

“I don’t have any plans to resign from the Congress. The rumours are baseless. My stand is always pro-Congress. After Sankranti festival, I would meet party bosses Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi,” he said.

The Sangareddy MLA, however, said if anybody in the party felt inconvenient with his presence in the party, he would remain an independent.

“But I will not join any other party,” he clarified.
