Sankranthi 2026 has turned out to be a fruitful season for the Telugu film industry, with three films emerging as clear successes and another receiving positive reviews.
The combined business of all five festival releases has resulted in an impressive overall gross.
With the festive rush now over, the release calendar has slowed down significantly. There are no notable Telugu releases scheduled for this Friday, as the film that was originally planned for release has been postponed to the end of the month.
Tharun Bhascker and Eesha Rebba’s Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Shantiha will now hit theaters on January 30 instead of its earlier date of January 23.
As a result, the Sankranthi releases will continue to enjoy a free run in theaters over the next two weeks without any major competition.
Films like Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu now have a clear window to push into the profit zone, while Nari Nari Naduma Murari also stands a strong chance of ending its theatrical run on a profitable note.
