Jana Nayakudu Runs Into Censor Problems

Jana Nayakudu (Jana Nayagan) has reportedly landed in censor trouble, adding to the uncertainty surrounding Sankranthi 2026 releases.

With Telugu films dominating the festive season, Tamil films such as Jana Nayakudu (titled Jana Nayagan in Tamil) and Parasakthi are already witnessing relatively low buzz in the Telugu states.

The latest industry talk suggests that Jana Nayagan, touted as Thalapathy Vijay’s final film, is yet to receive censor clearance.

Although Jana Nayakudu is a remake of the Telugu hit Bhagavanth Kesari, the film enjoys massive anticipation in the Tamil market, primarily because it marks Vijay’s last cinematic outing before his full-fledged political entry.

His party is expected to contest the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

If the censor issues are not resolved in time, the film’s release could be pushed by a day or two. In that scenario, Prabhas’s The Raja Saab is likely to gain additional screens across Tamil Nadu.
