There is confusion over the OTT release of Akhanda 2, which was earlier expected to premiere on Netflix on January 9, 2026.
Although Netflix has acquired the digital rights, the platform has not officially announced the streaming date so far.
Speculation began after the film briefly appeared in Netflix’s search results, leading many viewers to believe that the release was scheduled for this Friday.
However, the title has since been removed from the platform’s catalogue, indicating that the OTT release may have been postponed. Neither the filmmakers nor Netflix have confirmed any delay yet.
In December 2025, the film’s theatrical release was postponed by a week. Now, the OTT release also appears to have hit a temporary hurdle.
Akhanda 2, the fourth collaboration between Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu, failed at the box office.
The film features Aadhi Pinisetty, Kabir Duhan Singh, Harshaali Malhotra and Saswata Chatterjee in key roles. It is produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta.
