Malavika Mohanan has been part of the film industry for several years, working across Tamil, Malayalam, and Bollywood cinema.
However, her Telugu debut took an unexpectedly long route, marked by missed opportunities and near launches.
Initially, Malavika was set to make her Telugu debut opposite Vijay Deverakonda in a film titled “Hero,” which was eventually shelved.
Later, she was approached to debut opposite Prabhas in “Salaar,” but the makers dropped her at the last minute and brought in Shruti Haasan instead.
Reflecting on the journey, Malavika believes it was all a matter of destiny.
“I was meant to make my Telugu debut alongside Prabhas. Despite landing two projects and missing out on both, I was finally called for ‘The Raja Saab.’ So it feels like destiny that my entry into Telugu cinema happens with a Prabhas film,” she said.
The actress also shared her admiration for Prabhas, revealing that she has been his fan for a long time.
According to Malavika, audiences would love him even more if they got to know his warm and grounded nature off-screen.
