KCR's 'Dora' Style Even While In Opposition

KCR's style is quite peculiar and appears undemocratic. He served as Chief Minister for ten years but, after losing the recent election, remains the leader of the opposition.

As such, he's expected to attend Assembly sessions, visit flood victims, and oppose the ruling party's actions.

However, since his election defeat, KCR has been largely absent.

He has not attended any Assembly sessions, and only KTR has represented the TRS party in his place. KCR has also not visited flood victims in Khammam or commented on the HYDRA issue, a pressing topic. Readmore!

There has even been a public feud between party members Kaushik Reddy and Arikapudi Gandhi, yet KCR seems unphased by it.

Interestingly, Harish Rao has been handling certain matters in his own way, while KTR takes charge in the Assembly.

It seems Harish Rao is managing ground-level situations while KTR manages the Assembly affairs.

Despite the leadership within the party, KCR remains in a low-profile mode, akin to a monarchical approach. Many note that he continues his "dora" (feudal) style, even in opposition.

KCR has ample opportunity to criticize the ruling party on issues like welfare scheme disbursement and the HYDRA controversy, but he remains in the background, in a manner many see as undemocratic.

It has now been almost a year since BRS lost the election.

The question remains whether KCR will maintain this approach for the next four years—a rare and unusual behavior for an opposition leader in Indian democratic history.
