Now, get ready for Balayya bhashan!

Andhra Pradesh has been witnessing intense political activity for more than six months now, thought it was only on March 16 that the Election Commission of India announced the election schedule for the state assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Ruling YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his counterpart in Telugu Desam Party N Chandrababu Naidu have been addressing public meetings almost on a daily basis.

While Jagan is going into the people with his campaign titled “Memanthaa Siddham” (We all are ready), Naidu is addressing the rallies under the banner of “Praja Galam” (People’s voice).

Jana Sena Party president and power star Pawan Kalyan is not campaigning so aggressively compared to Naidu and Jagan. And Naidu’s son Lokesh is also hitting the road with his own style of campaign.

As the electioneering is getting delayed, the people are bored to listen to same old dialogues, same old rhetoric, same old promises and same old attacks on the rivals by the leaders at every meeting. This will have to go for another one month and they have to bear with it.

As if this trauma is not enough, senior TDP legislator and actor Nandamuri Balakrishna kickstarted his state-wide campaign on Friday. He named his campaign as “Swarnandhra Saakara Yatra (Tour to realise the dream of Swarna Andhra) and “Balayya Unstoppable.”

Balakrishna began this campaign from Kadiri after praying Lord Narasimha and the famour Dargah there. Later, he would address a series of meetings at Kadiri, followed by Puttaparthi.

Like Jagan, Naidu and Pawan, the senior TDP leader from Hindupur will also take up the campaign through a “bus yatra.” A specially-designed bus has been kept ready for his yatra.

“After extensively touring Rayalaseema in the next 10 days, Balakrishna would conduct the campaign in north coastal Andhra districts. Between these two schedules, he will file his nomination papers on April 19, a day after the issuance of election notification,” party sources said.

So, some entertainment for the people is in the offing in the coming days, as Balayya’s speeches will be hilarious, if not any promising!
