Though modest in scale, all three films are carrying decent expectations for different reasons, ranging from genre appeal to trailer buzz.
Couple Friendly stars Santhosh Sobhan and Manasa Varanasi, and is directed by Ashwin Chandrasekhar.
Santhosh Sobhan is known as a talented actor who can shoulder an entire film with his performance.
The trailer looked immersive and promised an engaging love story, making it appealing to young audiences.
Funky is an out-and-out comedy driven by sharp dialogues and punchy humor from Anudeep KV of Jathi Ratnalu fame.
The trailer worked well and created strong buzz. Thanks to the director’s popularity, the film tops this week’s list in terms of expected openings.
Seetha Payanam is produced and directed by Arjun Sarja, featuring his daughter Aishwarya Arjun alongside Niranjan. With a family-oriented tone, it targets a different audience segment altogether.
It remains to be seen how these films will perform at the box office when they release on February 13 and 14.
