In Tollywood, the most happening producers today include Naga Vamsi, Swapna Dutt, Mythri Movie Makers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, Sahu Garapati, Sudhakar Cherukuri and Dil Raju.
All of them belong to the current generation and are moving ahead with a steady line up of big budget projects.
The names of the previous generation like Suresh Babu and Allu Aravind are now heard less frequently, making way for a new wave.
The next line of producers is slowly emerging. Dheeraj Mogilineni, Rajesh Danda, SKN, Vamsi Nandipati, Benny Muppaneni and Niharika Konidela are being seen as the future faces.
Almost every month, one among them is coming forward with a film announcement. Each of them is planning three to four projects and is actively searching for more.
Vamsi Nandipati has chosen a different path by focusing on film marketing rather than production.
Niharika Konidela is entering television shows, while SKN is balancing small and medium films with web series.
Rajesh Danda is lining up projects with Allari Naresh, Samyuktha Menon and Adivi Sesh.
With strong OTT deals and a focus on small and mid range films, this young generation are expected to bring a balanced and consistent release calendar by 2027.
