Minister Being Made Scapegoat For Kavitha?

The alleged sexcapades of a Telangana minister that surfaced in the social media has created a lot of sensation in the state political circles for the last two days.

What is surprising is that the entire episode, including the details of WhatsApp chat between the minister and a social activist-cum-actress, was extensively telecast by a television channel – 10TV, which is promoted by My Home Group that has close connections with the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

One can understand if it is any other channel that has telecast this murky episode, but since it has been aired by a channel that has close links with the TRS, it is obvious that it has been done only to make the minister a scapegoat.

It does not mean the minister is innocent; he might have tried to flirt with the actress and chatted with her. But looking at the way only this particular channel made a repeated telecast of the episode shows there is a systematic attempt to target the minister. Readmore!

The channel said the minister himself tried to enter into a compromise and that he had gone to the hotel to negotiate the deal with her.

It went on to say that the intelligence department has entered the scene and gathered all the evidences to prove the alleged illicit affairs of the minister.

So, why is this minister being targeted by the channel despite it being close to the ruling party?

The talk going on in the media circles is that TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is planning to drop him from the cabinet to accommodate his daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha who was recently elected to the state legislative council.

But since it sends a wrong message to sack any minster or ask him to resign for the chief minister’s daughter, the TRS leadership has adopted the strategy to force a minister to resign on his own.

The exposure of this sex chat has given an opportunity for KCR to remove the minister or compel him to quit, so that Kavitha can get the ministerial berth!
