KTR As Telangana CM Talk Gets Shriller!

The demand for anointing TRS working president and state minister for IT, industries and urban development KTR as the next CM of Telangana has been growing stronger.

There have been several instances of the TRS leaders openly describing KTR as the future chief minister of Telangana and several ministers expressed their desire to see him as the CM at the earliest.

In fact, KTR has already been playing the role of a de facto chief minister by reviewing the functioning of the various ministries other than his own departments, calling for official meetings and issuing orders.

And the impromptu eight-hour marathon cabinet meeting convened by KTR a couple of days ago to discuss the food processing and logistics policies of the state has kicked up a fresh talk as to whether his father K Chandrasekhar Rao is relinquishing his CM post in favour of his son. Readmore!

On Friday night, popular television anchor Bhupendra Chaubey of India Ahead news channel tweeted saying: “Another crowning set to take place. @KTRTRS likely to take over from dad KCR as Chief Minister of Telangana.”

The tweet has gone viral, leading to the debate as to whether KCR is going to step down soon and everything is getting ready for anointment of KTR as the next chief minister of Telangana.

Apparently, Chaubey was carried away by the reports that KTR had chaired the cabinet meeting in the absence of KCR who was away in his farmhouse at Erravelli.

It is believed that KCR himself had directed KTR to hold the meeting of council of ministers to get an understanding of holding cabinet meetings in future.

On Saturday, TRS legislator from Bodhan in Nizamabad district Mohammad Shakeel demanded that KTR should be made the chief minister of the state.

“Young and dynamic minister K T Rama Rao has all the abilities and eligibilities to become the CM of the state,” he observed.

Don’t be surprised if more MLAs come out with the similar statement in the next few days.
