Konda plans to bring Revanth, Eatala together!

A series of elections in the recent past in Telangana, including local body elections, have proved that the Congress party and the Bharatiya Janata Party are absolutely no match to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and cannot defeat it in the next assembly elections.

This is the view of former TRS MP from Chevella and industrialist Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, who recently came out of the Congress due to internal differences with the party leadership.

Konda said there is a need to build up a strong political alternative to the TRS in the state, as the Congress and the BJP do not have enough strength to take on KCR’s political strategies.

He said he had begun working on the political alternative in consultation with Huzurabad MLA Eatala Rajender, who was recently sacked from the KCR cabinet and is likely to quit the party soon. Readmore!

Interestingly, the ex-MP of Chevella said Pradesh Congress Committee working president A Revanth Reddy was also extending support to his idea of establishing a strong political alternative to the TRS.

“There are likely to be some major developments in the state politics in a couple of months,” he said.

Konda accused KCR of distancing all genuine and sincere Telangana leaders, while encouraging bad elements around him.

“If there is any transformation in him, we are all ready to extend support to him. But he is not in a position to change himself,” he said.

He further said KCR’s son K T Rama Rao had no capability to become the chief minister and rule the state, though he had talent and efficiency.

“The reason is that KTR is not so passionate about Telangana. Everybody in the party knows about him,” he said.

The ex-MP said there was a strong disgruntlement brewing in the TRS legislators.

“At least two ministers, including a senior minister, are in touch with us and they are ready to join us if there is any strong political alternative to the TRS,” he said.

Konda dismissed the new regional party to be floated by Y S Sharmila, daughter of former chief minister of combined Andhra Pradesh Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.

“I don’t think she has any future in Telangana politics,” he said.
