KCR's 'Media Management' Strategy with Rs 1,000 Cr Package!

The BRS supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is leaving no stone unturned to score a 'hat-trick victory' in the Assembly polls to be held in December this year.

Among all the strategies, 'media management' is said to be the main focus of KCR during this crucial period, with the Assembly polls just five months away.

The majority of the mainstream media in Telangana, including newspapers and TV channels, are entirely 'favourable' towards BRS.

The CM has successfully controlled the media with Telangana sentiment and I&PR advertisements. Readmore!

He has also banned media outlets such as ABN Andhra Jyothy, V6 Velugu, etc., which published negative reports on his party and his government by stopping advertisements being issued by the I&PR Department.

With Assembly elections around the corner, KCR has sanctioned a Rs. 1,000 crore budget to the I&PR department to issue advertisements to the media on the KCR government's welfare schemes and development programs for the next five months.

These advertisements will be issued only to those TV channels and newspapers that toe the line of KCR.

Even ABN Andhra Jyothy and V6 Velugu are reportedly trying to compromise with KCR to secure some ads and money out of this Rs. 1,000 crore overall package for the election season.

KCR strongly feels that the government will lose control of administration and media in the election year, as there will be uncertainty over who will be coming to power next.

To control the media under such circumstances, this Rs. 1,000 crore package would help a lot.
