Jagga Reddy Pre-Empts Revanth Plan!

Even as there are reports that Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president A Revanth Reddy is contemplating taking out a state-wide padayatra to prop up his personal image, his bitter critic and Sangareddy MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy announced a similar plan.

Jagga Reddy told reporters on Saturday that he is going to take out a padayatra from his constituency Sangareddy to Adilabad to highlight the problems being faced by the people and find a solution to the state.

“Several problems are plaguing the state. The mindless decisions of the K Chandrasekhar Rao government have resulted in the people facing severe hardship. Farmers who raised fine variety of paddy – Telangana paddy – on the suggestions of KCR are now suffering huge losses,” Jagga Reddy said.

He said he would stand by the farmers and would meet every farmer during his padayatra. “I will raise all these issues in the state assembly and question the government’s inefficiency,” the MLA said. Readmore!

Jagga Reddy said he would disclose the route map shortly with regard to his padayatra. “My effort is to bring to the notice of the government the real issues concerning the common man, particularly farmers,” he said.

Interestingly, Revanth Reddy, too, was said to be working out a plan to launch a padayatra starting from the tribal areas of Mulugu, the assembly constituency of Congress MLA D Seethakka.

However, he has not made any official announcement to this effect. There were reports that he might take up padayatra, if he is denied the PCC chief post. He might come out of the party before embarking on the padayatra.

Jagga Reddy has been strongly resisting the move to make Revanth Reddy as the PCC chief. May be, his padayatra plan is to deny any political advantage to the PCC working president.
