Jagan upset with unending corruption!

Right from the day one of assuming power, YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been calling for eradication of corruption at all levels – right from his cabinet colleagues to the employees at the lowest level.

He has warned his party leaders and also the government employees against indulging in any kind of corruption that would result in spoiling of his government’s image.

But Jagan seems to have realised that his warnings and preaching have fallen on deaf ears and the corruption is still rampant at the lower levels, if not at the top level.

It was evident from the way the chief minister expressed dissatisfaction over the poor performance of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) at a review meeting held at the Tadepalli camp office on Thursday. Readmore!

Jagan gave strict instructions to the ACB officials to ensure that no one falls prey to bribery. He said the authorities should not be lethargic and need to be more involved and dedicated.

He said the establishment of call centre 14400 was to see effective results and there should be a fear among those who try to indulge in corruption.

There should be no instances of bribery in offices like MRO office, Registration offices, Town planning office, and in any other office, the chief minister said.

He said that the government was ready to provide any kind of facility and suggested the ACB officials not to take leave and ensure effective results within three months.
