Jagan to declare 100 Assembly candidates at one go!

It's widely believed that TRS chief and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao's daredevil act of declaring 105 TRS candidates at a single go in September last, three months ahead of polling, fetched good dividends for TRS in recent Assembly polls.

This gave ample time for contesting candidates to campaign, visit door-to-door to meet voters, mingle with them and more importantly got enough time to douse the fire of dissidence and rebels in respective constituencies.

On the other hand, the Mahakutami comprising of Congress, TDP, TJS and CPI failed to declare candidates till the last minute of withdrawal of nominations.

With this, people were unaware of who were contesting against TRS in their constituencies while TRS candidates had already met voter multiple times by then. Readmore!

If sources in YSRCP are to be believed, now YSRCP chief Jagan wants to emulate "KCR's strategy" and announce 100 candidates at a single go soon after Sankranthi.

This will give three months time for contesting candidates for campaigning and cover all households in their constituencies.

The time will be enough to pacify dissident and rebels, who will not get tickets, to strike a deal and convince them to work for YSRCP's victory.

Jagan is learnt to be keen on declaring 100 candidates in the third week of January and the balance 75 seats by the first week of February.

Jagan is said to have taken a vow not to change candidates after declaration of candidates, come what may like KCR did.

KCR did not bother to lose leaders like Konda Surekha, Babu Mohan, Bodige Shobha etc who demanded change in candidates later but did not heed to their pressures and demands. In all these seats, TRS candidates won with good majority.

Jagan is confident that he could repeat KCR's feat if he adopts KCR's strategy in letter and spirit.
