Is Santosh Srinivas a One-Film Wonder?

The debacle of “Aludu Adhurs” has proved again that director Santosh Srinivas is a one-film wonder. Barring his debut flick “Kandireega”, none of his directorial movies succeeded at the box-office.

The success of “Kandireega” in 2011 helped him get an immediate chance to direct NTR, but the movie tanked at the box-office. “Hyper”, his second team up with ‘Kandireega’ Ram Pothineni, also bombed.

It took him four more years to direct another film. Thanks to producer Suresh’s faith in his talent, the director got the chance to make “Alludu Adhurs” with Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas. Despite having the advantage of festival holidays, the film bombed like anything.

Out of the four movies he had directed, three flopped. He still has commitments with production houses like Mythri Movie Makers. But will they dare produce a movie with him, who seems to be rehashing the same story, with his unimaginative narrative skills? Readmore!
